Can I Wear Mascara After Getting a Lash Lift?

You can wear mascara and all make up 24-48 hours after getting a lash lift. By then, your lash lift shape is no longer malleable and will stay curled through water and heat.

Can I get my Lashes wet?

Not for the first 24-48 hours after treatment, and only use cool water to clean around the eye area for the first 48 hours.

Will a Lash Lift Damage My Lashes?

There are two ways to curl your lashes: physically and chemically. The physical approach is when you use a lash curler or heat to break the chemical bonds that make up the protein chains in your lashes. Physically curled lashes relax throughout the day and only last until your lashes get wet or come in contact with heat. Also, curling your lashes every day with a lash curler can break the outer protective sheath of the lashes and make them prone to breakage and look thinner. The chemical approach, such as a lash lift, alters the stronger chemical bonds (disulfide bonds) that make up your lashes and creates a permanent curl until the lashes fall off naturally during the natural lash cycle. During a lash lift, a perm cream breaks the disulfide bonds and allows keratin molecules to move freely and adjust to their new shape. Then a neutralizing cream is added to reverse the effect of the perm cream. New disulfide bonds form, and the keratin molecules are locked into place with a new curled shape. The curl lasts for 6-8 weeks, and this process is a healthier alternative for your lashes compared to clamping your lashes every day with a lash curler. To maintain healthy lashes after a lash lift, apply a lash serum and coat your lashes with a small amount of jojoba or argan oil every day. How Long Does a Lash Lift Last?

A lash lift creates semi-permanently curled lashes, and the results last 6-8 weeks. Why? In about eight weeks, your curled adult lashes will grow old and fall out. New baby lashes will peak through and return back to your natural state. This is a part of your natural lash cycle process.

How Do I Take Care of My Lashes?

It’s easy! Wash your lashes and condition them daily with the aftercare oil vial that is provided for you. We recommend applying a small amount to the lashes once a day before you go to bed. This helps keep the lashes hydrated and smooth, so they will grow out nicely. Apply a lash serum along your lash line for longer and thicker lashes. (Available for purchase at Permanent Beauty Co.)

How Often Can I Get My Lashes Re-lifted?

Most of our clients get their lashes re-lifted every 6-8 weeks, depending on your lash cycle.

Note: Lash serums, biotin, and/or medication(s) can affect the lash cycle, resulting in quicker lash shedding and/or growth.

Can I Get Lash Extension If I Had a Lash Lift Recently?

We recommend waiting 2-3 months after getting a lash lift or having a lash lift reversal before you get lash extensions. A grown-out lash lift has less surface area for a lash extension to attach to and could cause lash extensions not to last as long. A lash lift is a great alternative to eyelash extensions.

What Is the Difference Between Eyelash Extensions and a Lash Lift?

Eyelash extensions require a single or multiple synthetic lash/es to bond to each individual natural lash to create more length and fullness and require maintenance every 2-3 weeks. In comparison, a lash lift is simply curling your own natural lashes to give a mascara effect with less maintenance.

How Long is the Lash Lift Procedure?

Approximately 60-75 minutes.

Does the Lash Lift Procedure Hurt?

Absolutely not, It should be a relaxing and painless experience. Your eyes will be closed for the entire treatment. We may ask you to turn your head from side to side to wash the eye area and a bit of pressure when applying/removing the silicone rod, but no it does not hurt.

Can I Still Use an Eyelash Curler After a Lash Lift?

The whole point of a lash lift is to remove the need for an eyelash curler, and it gives a better curl result. But more importantly, if you do try to use an eyelash curler, you run the risk of weakening and damaging your natural lashes.

Lash Tint

An eyelash tint consists of adding a special dye to your lashes, giving you weeks of dark, full-looking lashes without the assistance of mascara. Lasts around 3-4 weeks with proper care. (Black or brown tint color available.)
